GDQ is a fundraiser in the United States that was founded mike Mike Uyama and was originally organized from the communities of SpeedRunsLive and Speed Demos Archive communities made on January 1, 2010.[1] From the Games Done Quick (GDQ) website, "Games Done Quick is a series of charity video game marathons. These events feature high-level gameplay by speedrunners raising money for charity."[2]

Satistics

GDQ had raised over $40+ million dollars over nearly 40 marathons and are the biggest fundraisers globally for 'Doctors Without Borders' and the 'Prevent Cancer Foundation' charities. On average they have over 3,000 people in attendance including attendees and staff. [2]

Marathons

Every year they have they have 2 events: their winter event, Awesome Games Done Quick (AGDQ); and their summer event, Summer Games Done Quick (SGDQ). They also have smaller marathons to support other charities throughout the year.[2]
