DeepSeek Founder Says China AI Will Stop Following U.S.

BEIJING-- The high-performance, low-priced synthetic intelligence model launched just recently by Chinese startup DeepSeek has created a wave of around the globe. DeepSeek-R1 appears to use performance that rivals alternatives from the U.S., but the company states it was established at less than a tenth of the cost of those designs. Chinese technology news portal 36Kr interviewed the company's founder, mariskamast.net Liang Wenfeng, in July 2024.
