Backstory
Dadish is a 2D platformer released by Thomas K. Young for Android & iOS in February 2020 and later ported to Console/PC. It is a simplistic pixel-style adventure game, and the first instalment in the Dadish series. [1]

Dadish was added to speedrun.com on February 25th, 2020[2]. The first run accepted to the leaderboard was All Worlds - Any%, Mobile, Possum Mode by Retrograde. A few other notable mobile runners started to run Dadish like zir0nic and kyraa, but a user named Mr_Poggers started to run mostly all of the individual levels and some full game runs.
In March 2020, a competition in the Mobile Speedrunning Discord was held: fastest time to beat the 2nd world "Strando Beach" which kyraa would win. In early April, IGT was added to the game. Prior to this, IL runs were timed with RTA. New players started competing in ILs such as Emrald and Aero, figuring out new strats. Later that month emrald would hold 40/40 IL any% site records.
