Lee Pryor
Lee "kats" Pryor (short for his full handle, katslover) randomly wandered into the Elite Chatroom in late 2003, and he quickly established himself as a Chat favorite. His sense of humor and witty remarks won over the hearts of the Selection Committee, allowing kats to make the field for the 2005 Elite Summer Contest. After a narrow victory over Goldeneye legend Pat Zalesky in the play-in, kats went on to have a respectable showing against Contest finalist Matthijs ten Ham. That's like lasting into the third round against pre-Crisis Supes... not bad a'tall! He celebrated this achievement by going inactive.
Internet-wide, kats is best known for becoming the 1,000,000th registered user at GameFAQs.com on Easter morning, 2004. The complete story, in Chat Log format, can be found below.
